Svanninge Bakker: the site of Denmark’s largest nature playground

The nature playground is situated in a former gravel pit. The playground is divided into the following sections:

A playground for 7-to-12-year-olds with some 25 different pieces of playing equipment located along the edge of the area so children can play the game “the floor is made of lava”.

Troll Area for 3-to-6-year-olds with about 10 pieces of playing equipment.

An area where children can build hideouts.

A grassy area with campfire sites.

A shelter for staying dry in rainy weather.

A playing area for schoolchildren and others. 


 

Sansehaven (sensory garden), Nyborg

A delightful playground with unconventional playing equipment.
Children can try out balancing beams and climbing equipment. There are opportunities to see and experience different animals, such as goats and ducks.

The park is next to a splendid bathing beach and a lovely wood.

Morud Nature Playground
 
The nature playground is located next to Morud Open-Air Swimming Baths, in North Funen.

The facilities include a maze, a “the-floor-is-made-of-lava” course, a campfire cabin and a nature swing.

Bolbro Anlæg (park)

A playground in pleasant surroundings in west Odense.
The playground features Kompan swings, teeter animals, climbing walls, a climbing castle, a slide and a swing frame.

There are benches where you can eat your packed lunch.

Børnebyen (the Children’s Village)

Odense’s largest nature playground – called “Tusindeben” (the centipede) – is located in north-east part of the city.
The playground offers challenges for young and old alike.

It features rope swings, an aerial ropeway and a play castle.
Children can stroke and talk to sheep and goats. There are cosy areas for eating your packed lunch.
